In this session we are exploring:
There is a values beliefs and attitudes group workshop that gives an example of one way you can explore your values. This could be done on your own or in a group.
The Coactive Coaching values clarification has several different ways of exploring values. You do not have to do all of these. You can choose the one that feels appropriate for you. You are welcome to do more if you wish to, as an extension activity.
I have included the Emotional Triad as a reminder about a quick way of supporting a client to change their state by exploring their current physiology, use of language and focus.
Here is a link to an article about cognitive dissonance, the discomfort a person feels when their behaviour does not align with their values and beliefs. This might be something we could discuss further in the live session: https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/326738#effects
Please note: The link to the video in the handout and Introduction to the Work by Byron Katie are optional and not a requirement for this session. If you have time and are interested they are intended as extension resources.
Question: Would it work to remake the judging worksheet so that it is done from the parent / child perspective? Perhaps it could be worth experimenting with this to see if it is helpful for other parents?
