Untangle Roots

A nature-based approach for developing happy and healthy neurodivergent relationships

For neurodivergent people

Relationships can be confusing, painful, or filled with contradiction...

For so many of us, especially those of us who are neurodivergent or raised in neurodivergent families, relationships can feel tough.

Perhaps we’ve been told we’re “too much” or “not enough,” that our ways of feeling and connecting are flawed, broken, or selfish.

But what if our struggles with boundaries, self-worth, or over-responsibility aren’t dysfunction?

What if our experiences made sense?

What if our struggles are understandable adaptations?

What if our struggles are intelligent, sensitive responses to a world that hasn’t yet learned how to love us in the ways we need?

At Untangle Roots, we believe neurodivergence is a natural part of human diversity.

Here, we believe that unhealthy relationship patterns are survival responses

Especially in families and systems where difference was misunderstood, pathologised, or erased.

We know that many of us never had access to models of healthy, affirming, emotionally safe relationships. So we’re creating them now—together!

Untangle Roots is a community, a practice, and a movement.

Return to who you’ve always been: rooted, relational, resilient.

We offer neuro-affirming relationship education and support, for both individuals and the practitioners who work with them.

Through nature-based practices, grounded reflection, gentle rituals, and relational tools, we are re-learning what it means to belong to ourselves and to one another.

We root our work in compassion, consent, community care, and collective liberation.

Welcome to clarity and peace!

We honour the wisdom of lived experience

We honour the sacred power of showing up imperfectly, with curiosity and care.

You don't need fixing

You are already valuable, exactly as you are. And some tools and community alongside can help you along the way!

Welcome to Untangle Roots.

Where different ways of being and healthy connection grow together.
